Amanda Nowlin

Amanda Nowlin is a writer of fiction and nonfiction with a book currently in progress in each genre. She is the winner of the TEX Emerging Writer Award, was Amanda Nowlin nominated for Best New American Voices 2006 and has published fiction in The Dallas Morning News, SHS Review, and Garcia’s Kitchen. She holds an MFA from New York University and is presently finishing her PhD in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Houston. Written in 1997, Stop the River is one of Amanda’s earliest works
